Ubisoft Unleashes Its 7 Wii Titles

While Ubisoft yesterday announced they had 7 titles today they said what all 7 of those were today. Those 7 titles include the announced games Red Steel and Rayman: Raving Rabbids. But it also includes 5 unannounced titles Open Season, Monster 4 x 4 World Circuit, GT Pro, Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII, and finally the big mega one Farcry. Ah and if that isn't enough the publisher also said that their are many more titles in development for the Wii just to tempt your appetite. And even further a Ubisoft France employee stated that Prince of Persia Wii will be out in France by next March but the source is still being verified as if real or not but on an update on that Ubisoft has said today they have made no announcement about a Wii version of Prince of Persia for the Wii launch or by March 2007. So that shoots that one down but companies have shot previous things down and then come back to say the exact opposite. Remember Zelda TP for Wii rumors. Also they go on to talk about what is in each game. Here's what IGN said: The popular first-person shooter Far Cry pits players on a mission through lush Amazonian jungles and equips them with a variety of weapons, vehicles and special powers to attack the enemy. The game will make full use of the Wii-mote for enhanced maneuverability and will likewise boast new content. Blazing Angels utilizes the Wii controller for intense dog fighting scenarios set to the backdrop of WWII. The racer GT Pro Series is developed by MTO and optimized by Ubisoft for Wii. Through a deal with MTO, Ubisoft is able to distribute the project everywhere in the world except Japan. GT features more than 80 licensed cars, detailed tuning options, fluid drift-style controls and physics, and more. The title has been specifically tailored to make full use of the Wii's revolutionary remote. Open Season is an adventure game based on the Sony Pictures Animation's CG animated film of the same name. Monster 4x4 World Circuit is a truck racer that has been completely revamped to make full use of the Wii control system. The title takes players fully off-road for some muddy displays of mechanical power. And if this just isn't enough for this blast of info check out an interview that IGN did with Ubisoft after this announcement that talks about all the new games and their relation with the Wii. And the biggest thing about all 7 titles is that they are all coming out on launch day for the Wii. Which pits the Wii launch series at 30 titles which is the most ever. Just a megaton day for Nintendo, Ubisoft, and Wii fans. Try and tell me Wii doesn't have a variety of games and I'll straight slap ya silly haha. Wii has one of the most diverse lineups through March 2007 and that's going to be a killer to the competion. With the launch series being probably one of the best area with support all around it's going to be a great startoff for the Wii and Nintendo isn't looking back in the dust.
