US Hardware and Software Sales for June 2006

If Japan wasn't enough for today we've got America too. As usual let's start off with hardware. Although summer is usually quite a slow time sales have kept pretty steady for a few consoles: Hardware (Units / Revenue) 360 - 277,000 / $109M NDS - 593,000 / $76M PSP - 221,000 / $48M PS2 - 312,000 / $41M GBA - 189,000 / $15M GCN - 51,000 / $5M XBX - 24,000 / $4M Ah there we go for America. The DS Lite enormously pushed up sales. Good lord. And to think it was only out for the last 20 days. The extra 10 days could have easily pushed it to more around 800,000. Pretty good for the DS. Also the PS2 keeps up it's steady good sales in America while making the 360 look like a last gen system. Maybe price does have to do with some things as 360 has only outsold the PS2 once. Also GC and Xbox show us more and more everyday that they are dead althought still bringing in some good revenue. Now on to software: 1. NDS New Super Mario Bros. - 453,195 2. PS2 Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories - 390,000 3. NDS Brain Age - 205,868 4. PS2 Cars - 180,000 5. 360 Hitman: Blood Money - 167,540 6. GBA Cars - 160,000 7. PS2 FIFA World Cup 2006 - 150,000 8. NDS Big Brain Academy - 140,942 9. PS2 Hitman: Blood Money - 10. GCN Cars Don't have sales for the GC version of Cars or the PS2 version of Hitman Blood money but there higher than 110,000 is what I do know. Gosh and wouldn't ya know it America must really love Cars. Cause good lord the PS2, GBA, and GC version all made the top 10 all selling very nicely. But the story of this is still the New Super Mario Bros raking in almost 500,000. Who said that Americans don't love Mario. They obviously love it more than they like GTA. Haha take that GTA. But always nice to see a GBA or GC title on the top 10 as don't see them too often. But as you can see the 360 titles kinda got wiped away mostly due to the fact that most weren't released in June. Well if you feel that your missing 360 sales then I've got the top 15 selling 360 games for June 2006 in US. Yea: (Console/Title/Revenue/Units Sold) 360 HITMAN: BLOOD MONEY $10,001,800 /167,540 360 ELDER SCROLLS IV: OBLIVION $4,702,624 /78,955 360 TOM CLANCY'S GHOST RECON: ADVANCED WARFI $4,604,493 /77,378 360 FIFA WORLD CUP 2006 $4,121,255 /69,399 360 FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 3 $3,687,363 /61,852 360 TABLE TENNIS $2,355,249 /59,357 360 MOTO GP 06 $3,508,009 /58,716 360 CALL OF DUTY 2 $3,105,586 /54,410 360 BATTLEFIELD 2: MODERN COMBAT $2,661,045 /44,615 360 BURNOUT REVENGE $1,546,880 /39,765 360 TIGER WOODS PGA TOUR 06 $1,349,621 /35,238 360 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL 2K6 $1,981,999 /33,321 360 OVER G FIGHTERS $1,823,834 /30,520 360 NBA LIVE 06 $1,100,700 /28,017 360 MADDEN NFL 06 $1,020,761 /26,840 Ah there ya go 360 fans. As you can see always good sells from Elder Scrolls and GRAW. Thsoe really seem to have some staying power in America. And COD2 really ist still staying too. But it's the sports and racers that really seem to be up there for the 360. Well next month should be pretty interesting for the 360 with Prey, Chromehounds, and LOTR:BFME being release. We'll see when we get there. Zucas
