Japanese Hardware and Software Sales for July 3-9

Well as always it's time for those sales. Yea sales haha. Anyways first we have Japanese hardware sales. I guess this week's will be a surprise haha: 1. DSL - 149,454 (2,789,663) 2. PSP - 31,959 (952,898) 3. PS2 - 23,332 (783,578) 4. GBASP - 2,818 (169,513) 5. 360 - 1,610 (59,021) 6. GBM - 1,379 (104,759) 7. NDS - 1,009 (907,299) 8. NGC - 934 (56,470) 9. GBA - 20 (1,671) 10. XBX - 13 (2,813) Well not really any surprise. DS Lite is still selling like an utter beast. I don't think it will quiet down anytime soon in Japan. And as you can see the 2 DS's combine for almost 4 million in sales just for 2006. That's quite impressive for just one country and only halfway through the year. May reach 10 million in Japan alone this year. Also 360 sold a little more than usual as it got 5th place. Pretty good for it I guess over there. And in the low rider race GBA keeps it's lead up again the Xbox by 7. Haha. Now for software: 1. (DS, Nintendo) New Super Mario Bros. 134568 / 2137680 2. (PS22, Namco) Xenosaga Episode III - 123847 / new 3. (DS, Nintendo) More Brain Age - 50634 / 2700187 4. (PSP, Namco) Tekken Dark Resurrection - 49426 5. (DS, Nintendo) Brain Age - 33771 / 2508373 6. (DS, Capcom) Rockman ZX - 33,652 / new 7. (PS2, Konami) Winning Eleven 10 - 31228 / 932027 8. (DS, Nintendo) Animal Crossing: Wild World - 26234 / 2911295 9. (DS, Nintendo) English Training DS - 21956 / 1239164 10. (PS2, Bandai Namco) Super Dragon Ball Z / 21355 / 116437 Ah the New Super Mario Bros stays on top with extremely strong sales for the usual droughts of summer. As it passes 2.1 million total just in Japan. And then we have the usual DS games staying extremely strong in sales with our every now and then PS2 games. And surprising a new PSP game enters the arena but Tekken is always big in Japan. Well as you can see nothing has really changed in Japan yet. Maybe AC will pass 3 million shortly. I give it a couple to 3 weeks to do that. More Japanese sales next week. Zucas
