Eternal Darknes 2 and 3

Most people don't remember this but one of the best games ever let out on the Gamecube had to be Silicon Knight's Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. It was a sleeper hit and really didn't get the attention that it deserved. After that the company wanted to bring their next game, Too Human, to the GC but with Nintendo completely buying out Retro Studios and dropping their partner, Silicon Knights, the game soon went over to GC and PS2. Til finally now the game is going next generation for the X360 only. The head of Too Human big player in Eternal Darkness had some interesting comments lately though on his IGN Blog. Here is something he said: "I am most often asked if we have sequels in mind for Eternal Darkness. The answer is absolutely yes. Although this may not be obvious to those outside of Silicon Knights, anyone inside the guild understands that there is really no other answer. When creating an original game we start by conceptualizing an entire universe. Once the universe is conceptualized we then tell a story within that world." -Mr. Denis Dyack So that confirms an Eternal Darkness trilogy. Now the question of the matter is what console(s) would it go on. Well Silicon Knights is doing Too Human on the X360 so you'd probably think them. But I have more of a feeling you'll see this as once again a Nintendo only game. Why? Well Nintendo filed a patent in August 2005 called Sanity. The Sanity patent patented a sanity meter, which we all know from the Eternal Darkness game. It descrived a meter that tells how sane or insane y0u and gives pschyological effects as to where that meter is. So on the X360 or PS3 you couldn't have that feature and that is the big thing in the Eternal Darkness game. So it could possibly go on other consoles but I'm seeing more of a Wii exclusive. Can't wait. More on this as it comes. Source Zucas
