What is the PSP Trying to Promote in Europe?

Over the last few days or weeks a lot of crazy PSP signs in Europe have been promoting some odd things. Like this one sounds like it is promoting suicide. http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/uk/british-psp-ads-promote-suicide-removed-by-station-159271.php But I guess it's got a point cause it's suicide to buy a PSP anyway. Oh shot but Sony set themselves up for that one. Then these 2 ads sounds like it is promoting sex and language: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/psp/british-psp-advert-name-checks-paris-hilton-158782.php http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/psp/psp-ad-promotes-bad-words-and-sex-158732.php Wow I know the PSP is desperate to sell but how desperate is Sony right now. They have to promote sex and launguage and suicide just to get those extra buyers. Geez Sony's PSP has just gone down the hill lately hasn't it. Well the signs and ads will all most likely be banned. But really these are just retarded ways to advertise a handheld. I mean everyone knows that what's on the sign isn't in the PSP. In my opinion just a better reason to get a DS cause Sony just has no confidence in their PSP if they have to stoop to this. More PSP good and bad news soon. Hopefully more good than bad. Zucas

The people who felt offended by this obviously know nothing about SONY's recent PS2 ads "Live in your world-play in ours." I think that SONY was trying to say if you "jumped here" supposedly into the sign then you would be into the "Playstation World." People must really be retarded now and days... seriously. Say if you were to jump "here" then you would actually be hitting the sign, not onto the subway tracks! Now if there was an arrow pointing to the left or right then I would be saying something different.

I find nothing wrong with the Paris ad. It didn't say Paris Hilton. People are just jumping to conclusions. Maybe then meant Paris as in the city or maybe the ad designer really likes Paris (the city) and considers it to be his heaven. The ad about the strong language and sexual nature is wrong. It does sound like that it was poorly translated from Japanese or something. Maybe they wanted it to say that you can watch UMD's or movies..idk! I actually thought for a second that those posters were photoshoped and the person just added the logo's.

I think those ads are genius. If i saw those I would start laughing out loud. I think they are really funny and i wish there were more ads like it. Microsoft always plays it cool and Nintendo sells there stuff as fun. Now Sony is selling there things using humor, I see nothing wrong with that. Anyway this is europe we are talking about and they are way more lax about stuff over there, especially sex wise.
